Jannie Friis Kristensen

One of the first to graduate and venture into the real world with a degree in information science, Jannie finds herself at home in the borderland between technology and people. She started out on her career as a medical secretary and student and has since moved on from active sports freak via network co-ordinator and event manager at the CIT Group to a PhD in pervasive computing and user-driven innovation. Most lately she has held a position as perception designer at the Bang & Olufsen headquarters in Struer, Denmark.
Jannie is in position of an innate and somewhat annoying scepticism towards the alleged amenities of novel technologies. Still, she is an incredibly curious individual, driven by a wish to search out meaningful applications – preferably also evincing an attitude: all brain and no heart is useless. Known as an (almost) incurable optimist and decidedly a woman of action enjoying enthusiasm and a good laugh.
Despite a weakness for Iceland ponies as well as volleyball, she nonetheless keeps both feet firmly on the ground of the Jutland mould – albeit frequently with her head in the clouds. Lives with her two boys and her husband Mikkel in a family community in an old people's home at the back of the beyond, so far back that her beloved bright red Mazda MX3 receives due recognition, as were it a Ferrari – even though this might be a slight misrepresentation of facts.
