René Laursen

Computer scientist and allround technophile. Since he traded in his scooter for his first computer back in high school - a 'professional' model with an enormous 8K memory - René has spent most of his time peering into computers.
He's now moved on to working with Pervasive Computing, putting computers into everything else. He's also experienced in getting people into computers - his teaching, consulting, and teambuilding work has taught him to foreground people and their needs. His technophilia is leavened by skepticism and pragmatism - while we all need to upgrade our IT skills, our gadgets also need to work on their social skills.
