The administrative brain of Innovation Lab and owner of the warm voice greeting you when dialling our offices. At 17, she set out as a bookkeeping apprentice at DanaData – previously owned by ILab Director Preben Mejer and first supplier of PCs to the Danish people. Here Merete's talents for organization eventually earned her a seat in the PA's chair and she since went through a rather arduous and varied career at TDC – from Internet to Busines Sales.
The word is that Merete is still in possession of several photos from office parties of the past. Photos featuring our boss – a fact lending considerable authority to her comments as to receipts and the allocation of equipment. Merete is capable of handling an incredible amount of work - to such a degree that we suspect her of hiding an invisible set or two of spare hands. Besides her multiple Innovation Lab activities, she is restoring a four-building farmstead and raising a pair of twins (girls) aged 18 months plus a three-year-old boy. She thrives in the friendly chaotic atmosphere of the Lab; but, like most other mothers of toddlers, she dreams of peace and quiet – time to read a book in its entirety, time to start a herbaceous border.
